These Are Interesting Times!

The last few of months have been very very trying to even the best of the best. I am seeing pillars crumble, the strong stumble, and the precise bumble. I hear the cries of many of my contemporaries. “I don’t know how much more of this I can take. I can’t see come morning by come night. I am in danger of disease. I am in danger of my enemy. I am in danger of my own countryman. I am in danger of my own brother.”

Are you felling it too? Is the weight of the world resting on your shoulder? Is this burden too heavy? Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out? Is there no peace?

Well then, “Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest.” - Jesus Christ (Matthew 11:28, The Message)

Get Away! Wow! That is a refreshing invitation.

One of my favorite songs is, There will be "Peace In The Valley” for meeeee someday.x

The first lines say, I'm tired and I’m weary but i must go along, till the Lord comes and calls me awaaaaay!

Although I dig that song, I don’t like making that kind of confession. But the truth, be told, we are often times tired, run down, worn out, beat down and burned out. So what do we do? Accept the invitation, Get Away with Jesus!

The Man of God, Prophet Isaiah sent an invitation too. “Hey there! All who are thirsty, come to the water! Are you penniless? Come anyway—buy and eat! Come, buy your drinks, buy wine and milk. Buy without money—everything’s free!” (Isaiah 55:1, The Message)

“Why do you spend your money on junk food, your hard-earned cash on cotton candy? Listen to me, listen well: Eat only the best, fill yourself with only the finest.” (Isaiah 55:2, The Message)

Come and refresh yourself on the sweetest of morsels and fairest of delights. Lay aside that heavy burden, the weight of the world on your shoulder. Get Away with Jesus. Take up his yoke, and follow Him. Learn of Him. Learn from Him. Be His student in life. His yoke is easy and His burden is light.

Someone is saying, “Oh yes! I want that. I want that so bad. But, I don’t know how to come to Jesus. Well, it is simple.

Start Here:

To receive Christ, you simply need to do 4 things:

  • Admit you’re a sinner.

  • Ask God’s forgiveness and be willing to turn away from your sins.

  • Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross. He paid the price for your sin. He arose with all power. He ascended to Heaven and is with God the Father.

  • Receive Christ into your heart and life. Call upon His name.

Romans 10:13 says, “Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.” Here’s a prayer you can pray to receive Christ:

“Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead. I trust and follow you as my Lord and Savior. Guide my life and help me to do your will. In your name, amen.”

Keep this confession, and you are saved.
